About me
Hello and welcome to the site!
A quick introduction: I'm Amber, a 21-year-old with a strong passion for aviation. I recently moved from Belgium to Canada to pursue my career as both an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and a Commercial Pilot.
My journey began during the final year of my Bachelor's in Aviation Technology at VIVES University of Applied Sciences, where I took part in an international internship. I was fortunate enough to join the line maintenance team at FL Technics, based at Pearson International Airport in Toronto. What started as a 6-month internship turned into a 9-month apprenticeship as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, as I wasn’t ready to close that chapter with FL Technics just yet.
Living abroad can be tough, and eventually, I decided to take a step back to reconnect with family and friends. After some reflection, I realized that moving to Canada was a decision I made to pursue my dream of becoming a commercial pilot. So, I chose to push myself out of my comfort zone once again, and I finally got the opportunity to make that dream a reality.
As I embark on this exciting new chapter, I hope to inspire others to step out of their comfort zones and pursue their dreams. It's okay to feel vulnerable and unstable at times—those moments will push you to grow until you reach your goals.
