Aviation 4 Girls!
Hey, girls! This event is primarily for you!
On October 13th, 2022, I had the opportunity to attend the 'Aviation 4 Girls Event' at EUROCONTROL's headquarters in Brussels, themed "The New Now - You are the Future of Aviation." The event catered to over 100 girls and boys aged 15 to 18, providing educational activities and interactive experiences.
Participants were inspired by stories shared by female role models from various aviation sectors. They took part in engaging activities, such as a virtual flight simulator tour and discussions with experts on turning their passion into a career. A career fair was also organized to help the young attendees explore the diverse professions and opportunities available in the field.
As a representative of VIVES University of Applied Scienses, I found the event to be a resounding success, promoting women's empowerment and sharing the unique journeys of numerous female role models.
