FLying Festival Brasschaat 2023

Hello fellow aviators,

It's been quite a while since we last connected. I've been immersed in organizing my international internship, leaving me with little time to attend any airshows or events hosted by the Belgian Air Force. It felt like I was missing out on some fantastic experiences. So, this weekend, I decided to take action and participate in the Flying Festival Brasschaat 2023!

To be honest, I hadn't initially planned to go, as my school workload was quite demanding. But, when it comes to a great airshow, who can resist postponing some schoolwork, right? (Apologies to my teachers!)

The Flying Festival took place on the historic military airfield of Brasschaat, spanning from the 23rd to the 24th of September, and it was an absolute delight. Everyone involved in organizing the event put in their utmost effort, and it truly showed. It offered a remarkable opportunity to get up close with the Air Force, the BAF Red Devils, and many more.

One of my personal highlights was the static display of two P51 aircraft, along with a variety of other classic aircraft like the P40 and more. Throughout the day, there were numerous captivating displays, creating an enjoyable and vibrant atmosphere.
