Beauvechain Air Base here i come!

Beauvechain Air Base Day on April 6th, my very first event as a BAF Youth Ambassador.

Curious and excited to finally meet the other Ambassadors so we can kick-off together this fantastic new journey we are embarking upon. Yeah!

Already having a positive mindset I just couldn’t help myself becoming more enthusiastic as an F-16 had been used as a gate gardian at the main entrance of the military domain. Best of all, this isn’t the only display you can visite. The “First Wing Historical Center” is also located at the Beauvechain Air Base and it holds a lot of history of the Belgian Air Force. As I went exploring a bit further I also saw the Fouga CM-170R and other airplanes on display. So I really recommend visiting!

My first event as a Youth Ambassador of the Belgian Air Force started off with embarking on a fantastic new journey. Our new supervisors introduced themselves and we did too. We were briefed about our roll as Ambassadors and afterwards we got a small sneak peek off the upcoming events. This information is of course top secret, but I can say with certainty that the next event is called ‘Take a Risk’ and will take place on the Provincial domain in Wachtebeke on 14 April. So hopefully I'll see you guys there!
After all, I’m very happy with the team that has been put together as we’re all motivated people with the same passion for aviation!

Just when I thought my day couldn't get any better I got a goodie bag! This included a few nice goodies for which I’m really grateful. Besides this goodie bag I also bought a few other things myself as there were many stands with cool merch such as posters and really nice patches!

My catch of the day!
