Ursel Avia, the Golden Years of Aviation
On July 10th, Ursel Avia 2022's "Flying Day" soared into action!
Throughout the event, Ursel Avia took spectators on a journey through various themes, from the early days of aviation and the 'Golden Years of Aviation' to futuristic concepts like electric flying, drones, and flying cars. The entire spectacle was enhanced by well-coordinated extras and vehicles on the ground, along with fitting music and dance performances, elevating the overall experience.
At Ursel Avia, attendees were treated to an abundance of extraordinary flying heritage on display at Ursel Airport. Iconic aircraft such as the Spitfire, the Blériot XI from the early 20th century, the amphibious Catalina, and the Swiss Classic Formation featuring a DC3 and three Beechcraft Model 18s, a first for Belgium, were showcased. Additionally, the Bell 47 Sioux from the MASH series and the legendary Westland Sea King rescue helicopter made appearances.
Who wouldn't want to witness these magnificent aircrafts taking-off into the sky on a beautiful summer day? Ursel Avia 2022 was undoubtedly one of this year's highlights, and I'm thrilled to have attended. It's a fantastic opportunity to relive the 'Golden Years of Aviation' with loved ones and creating unforgettable memories!
